NEUTRAL IS THE RETURN POINT FOR THE LOAD CURRENT PASSING THROUGH THE PHASES. WE ARE AT EARTH POTENTIAL. CONVENTIOANLY THE EARTH IS AT ZERO VOLTS. WHERE THE HUMAN BEINGS STAY. IT IS THE SAFE POTENTIAL AT WHICH HUMAN BEING SHOULD WORK.
References :
The Neutral point is usually the point which Mains Electricity voltage is measured relative to. The grounding point is the point in the generator or electricity substation where the mains Neutral is connected to Ground. Hence the Neutral point can vary by several volts from Earth/Ground potential, due to induced current over the intervening distance.
References :
grouding is for the negative charge and it is how the electricity reaches the earth. never heard of a neutral point, sorry.
