Hi i am wondering how you go about testing a lightning protection system. I know i can test the system if i have 230volts and an electrical loop impedance tester, but how do i test it if i don’t have any mains power and i think a generators voltge would be to unstable.
any help would be much appreciated

As a rough test use a megger to test resistance from lightning rod(s) to an independent earth spike.
